ST GEORGE'S CATHEDRAL

Once noted for being one of the largest and tallest wooden building in the world with a height of approximately 150 feet, this building is located in the heart of Georgetown, the capital of Guyana, and, is one of this country's main attractions. Before it was made to its present design, it was built and rebuilt four times, mainly due to structural problems related to its foundation. The first structure was completed in 1811, while the present one was completed in 1893.
