CARTER'S DRUG STORE, BUXTON, Guyana, '97

CARTER'S DRUG STORE '97

This store was owned by the late Doc. Carter  (father of former Guyana Ambassodor Sir John Carter) and a widely reputable pharmacist in Guyana.   It was also known as "The War Office", since it was a place where certain village leaders (friends of Doc.) met regularly on Sunday mornings to debate the hot issues of the day.   Today,  this structure is still being used, but as a private residence.
