SCENES FROM A STUDY HALL

WHAT'S A STUDY HALL?

In a typical U.S. high school, the STUDY HALL is a "free period" classroom set aside during the course of a school day, where students are allowed to work on any assignments of their choice, independently, or in groups, or engage in some other academic activity. In some study halls, students may also choose to relax or "chill", provided it is done in a manner consistent with school rules. The images depicted here are just a few examples of a collection of the artist's impressions of the study hall. Any resemblances of these images to known individuals are purely coincidental.
