DEER PARK HOTEL
Located at the junction of Main Street, Elkton Road, New London Road, and College Avenue, the Deer Park Building, is the most famous landmark in Newark. Built nearly 150 years ago, it occupies the site of the once fgamous St Patrick's Inn of the early 1700's. Famed surveyors Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon were said to have set up their headquarters in this inn during the 1760's. Today, the building houses a tavern, a restaurant, and a night club, all of which are popular among college students, mainly those of University of Delaware.
